THE HEDGEHOGS
Hedgehogs can be found in Europe, Asia, Africa and New Zealand and their homes are usually burrows that they build themselves. In their nearby home they will find fruit, fungi, centipedes, insects, snails, worms, mice, frogs, eggs.
Hedgehog quills are made from keratin, similar to that of a human nail.
In order to protect themselves, they roll into a ball so that the quills cover the entire area of their exposed body so that they can protect themselves from predators.
They range in size from 4 to 12 inches and weighs from 5 to 56 ounces.

Hedgehogs are nocturnal which means they are active at night.
Hedgehogs sleep to combat themselves from extreme climates just like winter or summer.
